[They have, at the very least, been selective about this.

There's a general understanding that they're not here to destroy livelihoods or render anyone's life ruined or anything, they're just here to do a task; however, what they're doing is taking away something from a potential buyer, or perhaps taking away a source of revenue for whomever's in charge of the transaction on this thing. Either way, what they've got is a house that no one currently owns on a decently-sized lot, and a willingness to completely and utterly destroy whatever it may have going for it with regards to, you know, staying a house that's still standing.

Vereist over here will show up a bit before the appointed time, just to make sure that there's nothing strange going on with the property at the moment; there doesn't seem to be, it should likely all be clear for what they're going to be doing tonight.

[Shade arrives on time, hands jammed in his pockets and shoulders hunched a bit as if that will draw less attention to him. He's swapped out his clothes for something that fits in a bit better, and he really misses his shawl...

Anyway, he's here and he holds up a hand to greet Vereist.]

No, no, not at all. We do seem clear for what we plan to do; it appears to be a good night for it.

[It looks like there's no one around right now, so we should probably be good. He's already discussed with Vereist how they'll do this, so it should be pretty simple to pull it off.]

Assuming there are no unforeseen surprises. Caution is still paramount, but I have faith.

[Yeah, it looks like it. He's good with locks, and lucky the ones we've got to deal with here aren't too high tech for him. It'll take a little bit longer than usual to get them open, but once he's got that done he'll head on in.]

I admit that fire is not my specialty - that distinction goes to my brother. But I should be able to do what we require for it to work out.

It's something I've had a lot of practice with. Not always the easiest thing to deal with, but it's something you get used to.

I'm interested in seeing what you can do with your powers, though. Ice sounds like it'd be pretty difficult to work with.

Does it help to know that I can conjure it on its own, without requiring water in the area? Water in the area helps, of course, but I don't find it to be strictly necessary.

Which should be useful, given that everything is likely going to be very warm soon.

Pretty useful, that'll certainly come in handy. It's something someone I know can do as well.

Anyway, it'll burn bright and hot, starting to take the shape of something akin to bull's horns if it isn't stopped immediately, and while it's certainly dangerous, it's not exactly a very powerful attack. It should be easy to stop it in its tracks with ice.]
