| Our story begins much as stories of this caliber usually do: with you. You have a wish. Something you yearn for in the depths of your heart. Something you're willing to work for, no matter how rough or backbreaking that work may be. And one day, a mysterious voice gives you the chance to reach out and take it. It begins with a niggling in the back of your brain. Do you really want it? the voice asks, Are you sure? I can help you. You can help you. You can help you by helping us. What do you say? Regardless of how suspicious you find that voice, something within you compels you to say yes. And that's when you wake up lying sprawled on a soft bed, staring up at a beige colored ceiling in a plain, undecorated dorm room. Hovering above you is a worn piece of parchment with a shimmering signature at the bottom, and you know from instinct that the signature is yours, and that it binds both you and this mysterious voice at your word. Work for a wish. Quid pro quo. You think you can deal with that. You sit up. You observe your surroundings. You take note that you are definitely not in your home world anymore. But more importantly than that, when you try to think of your name. . . Huh. You don't seem to remember. --- City of Glymmer is a panfandom roleplaying game where characters willingly agree to work for a guild of phantom thieves known as the Glymmer Ragamuffins in exchange for a wish. Characters will don a mask and a code name in order to take up the mantle of phantom thieves themselves, with the city's most illustrious treasures (definition of "treasure" flexible) as their goal. Part-urban fantasy, part-90's shounen ridiculosity, the game's focus will be on CR building while completing the guild's heist missions and living through whacky jamjar event hijinks. The game has an overarching plot and is intended to run for one year. | ||||
