[intro]
Who: Anyone!
Where: The dorm building, and then around the city!
When: April 22nd!
i.
[After she’s awoken, it still takes a while for her to emerge from the room she finds herself in. First, she reads the letter several times over, pocketing it afterwards along with her new smartphone. Once she finally chooses a specialization and emerges, she looks around the area with a small, puzzled frown on her face. As she walks, she toys with the pendant she's been given with a finger, teasing the chain around.
If she sees someone else wearing the same piece of jewelry, that thoughtful frown disappears quickly; she doesn’t delay long before approaching, offering a small smile. In a friendly, albeit nervous tone that probably has something to do with the circumstances:]
Hi. I’m... [Hm.] Right, I guess I don’t know. Are you new here, too?
ii.
[Once she's become acclimated to the building she'll be living in (and her dorm room), she leaves the building to look around the rest of the area. She stares up at the night sky as she does; it's strange to see that kind of sight in midday. So strange, in fact, that she's nearly distracted enough to walk straight into someone. She stops herself just in time to avoid colliding into whoever may be there with a surprised inhale, letting out a shaky laugh seconds later.]
...Close call. That one was my bad. [...] You're okay, right?
[She tilts her head slightly as she waits for the answer.]

i
Hm? Ah--
[and her question earns a short nod from him]
I'm pretty sure everyone here is new. Were you here for the welcome party?
no subject
[That's delivered with a slight thoughtful narrowing of her eyes, before she shifts her gaze to meet his.]
No, I wasn't. Did I miss out on a good one?
no subject
[. . . ah, well. Red was still pretty new himself, but he wasn't about to dismiss a new arrival when he could at least help them out a little bit]
You sure did. There was cake, punch, balloons, and everything.
The only thing we were missing was party hats and noisemakers.
no subject
[She pauses for just a moment.]
I'm a little jealous. I could've used a good party.
no subject
[ha. his mouth twitches when he says that, a small flash of amusement]
I can't really help you with the party, though.
no subject
[Her tone is joking, though, until she continues and it grows more neutral.]
How long ago was it?
no subject
Two weeks to the day. I'm pretty sure those of us who arrived on that day were the first batch to be brought here, too.

Nah, nah, you're fine! Didn't even run into me anyway! What about you?
no subject
[She gives him a quick thumbs up to confirm, then glances up at the night sky, gesturing towards it.]
I guess I just got distracted by... that. It's not what I'm used to at this time of day, you know?
no subject
[He glances up along with her.]
It's pretty weird, but you kinda get used to it. Dunno if that's really a good thing or not, though.
no subject
[Even if she has to wonder if she'll get tired of the lack of sunlight fairly quickly.]
Either way, I'm glad you're alright. What's your name? Or... The name you picked, at least.
no subject
Out here? Call me Yuuga. What about you, miss?
no subject
[It's teasing, almost playful, even as she moves on quickly. With a light shrug:]
I haven't really picked yet.

Hello, ma'am. We're all still a bit new but...I assume you've only arrived just now?
no subject
Ma'am is what people call my mom. You can call me... [...] Well, I'll tell you once I figure it out. But, yeah, I just got here. What about you?
no subject
[a pause]
Regarding your name, we all forget ours when we're brought it. It's part of "collateral" while we're here. In the meantime, we've come up with new names for the duration of our time here.
no subject
[That earns a nod.]
That's... really weird, but I'll get used to it. What did you pick?
no subject
[He bows politely to her.]
Mr. Beard is the name I'm currently using. It's was...a suggestion from someone else that stuck.
no subject
[When she responds to the next piece of information, there's a new note of teasing in her voice.]
Mr. Beard? I'm surprised you went with it.

Call me Dove. I arrived about a week ago.
[ He's in his thief outfit but with the 'mask' settled on top of his head. The charm signifying his membership of the guild swings from its chain off of one arm of the eyepiece. ]
no subject
Nice to meet you.
[There's a small pause, before:]
Does it get uncomfortable to wear that when you aren't... [How to put it?] Working?
[Her tone is curious, not critical.]
no subject
Why would it be uncomfortable? It's made of cotton and all - and it seems like it's custom fit!
[ Sure it stands out...but Dove is used to standing out. ]
no subject
[She gives a small shrug, though, as she moves on.]
How'd you pick Dove?
no subject
I call myself Dove because I kept many of them back home. [ He props his elbow on one arm of the chair, rests his cheek against the backs of his fingers with a faint smile. ] I am a magician, you see.
no subject
[Her head tilts slightly, curious.]
